What do you see in the mirror?

Scroll down to content

light-mirrorWe all do it.  One of the first things we do when we get up in the morning is take a look in the mirror.  When you do that, what do you see?

As we prepare for worship this Sunday (click here for Sunday’s scripture readings), take a few extra moments the next few days and look a little closer.

What do you see?

  1. I am glad you found my blog. I looked through your since you mentioned it in the class, which I enjoyed by the way.

You are right, it could be 22 below zero and for that, I am thankful it is NOT!

Blogging is my communication with friends afar and my therapy when my theripist is out or not available!

I look forward to Sunday’s sermons based on scripture and comment about the mirror because believe it or not, I try not to look to close. HUH?

  2. Blogging is a wonderful thing. I have been doing it on and off for several years now – shifting from one site to another. I hope it is something that can help me connect with PCW in some new ways.

  3. Ed-
    Great Sermon.
This morning I actually DID look into the mirror and I saw myself very differently. Thanks to your words, I am inspired to be more in His image. It felt good today because I am not happy in my own image. Your words spoke volumes to me. My image is nothing but a reflection of the shell housing the work of God’s hands. With that, I will move about and be better. The shell holds something very valuable as long as I use it wisely and for His glory.
    Thanks again.

    1. Wow – thanks for sharing that. I paused a bit longer as well and also tried to see the imago dei in some others around me today that I might not have otherwise. I am usually (actually always) preaching to myself as well.

  4. Ed – Maybe you could post the scripture readings on your blog so the congregation could read ahead with you. My group would use your blog regularly to see what the reading is. Just a thought and I did receive the sermon series matierals.

    Thanks.
