God, You have blessed us in immeasurable ways. May we see You today past our plates into all areas of our life. May we celebrate through movement, art, and embraces— may we celebrate to Your delight. Amen.
Today was for me a different kind of feast day. It was not a feast of eating, but a feast of celebrations. It began with the feast of a wonderful morning in worship, centered on a powerful message preached by Rev. Sherman Bradley. The message the Lord gave to him was encouraging, challenging, and powerful as we were challenged to reflect on what it means to truly consider the poor. The day continued with a beautiful time outside, doing some yard work, looking at the flowers beginning to bloom, and then sharing a wonderful meal (first time grilling out). It was truly a feast-day for me and my family. I am thankful this night.
