Luke 1 – History

What are the chances of this? This leaf falling nearly perfectly matching the one underneath. It felt like a little bit of “order” in the normal chaotic beauty of nature. I was just walking alone, saw it out of the corner of my eye and stopped to see whether it really was what I saw. Maybe someone went and put them together before I walked by but whatever the case…it felt rather orderly.

The writer of Luke shares with “Theophilus” that what was to follow was an orderly account of the story of Jesus in the midst of what sounded like lots of other accounts out there at the time. Luke trying to bring a bit of order to the chaos…irony is that Jesus doesn’t exactly bring order but instead a good bit of chaos…
