The Second Gaze – Journey

Sometimes during a journey, one just needs to stop. Stop to reflect. stop to listen. Stop to rest. Stop.  It is so tempting to keep pushing, keep walking, keep running, keep going. But part of the journey is to be refreshed for the next stage.

Jesus modeled this in his patterns we see in the Gospels.  Times of engagement and times of travel.  Then times of rest and times of stillness.  All a part of the journey.

Yesterday and today, I took walks on the same trail and stopped at the same spot simply to take in what I saw, felt, and heard.  Here are those times for you – take 60 seconds and just rest on this stage of your journey.
