The Journey of Holy Week – Saturday


Nearly to the end of the week, the labyrinth today was the hardest to find and the roughest to walk. It was hidden off a path in a local park, created of just sticks that had fallen in the area and was a pattern similar to Friday’s. To me, it felt like it captured the sense of this “in-between” day. In between the events of Thursday and Friday, sitting with the grief of the death of Jesus, and hopeful of what was to come with Easter tomorrow.

But something unexpected happened as I walked out of the labyrinth. Something that isn’t normally “supposed” to happen. I got turned around, not once, but twice and ended up going back to where I started. Spoke to me of the path of grief and loss…
