An Active Advent Devotional – Now Available!

Friends, a few days ago I shared about the Advent devotional that I was writing for the season ahead and I am thrilled to share that it is ready to go!

Inspired by the writings and the life of Julian of Norwich, An Active Advent is a photographic devotional that leads through the weeks of Advent using the traditional themes of Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy. Using Julian’s words and insights along with prayer actions attributed to her, this is a simple and beautiful way to go deeper in the Advent season.

There are multiple ways to receive the devotional for the season ahead.

  • Subscribe for November and December to my substack page by clicking here. Starting on November 27, each day during Advent you will receive an email with the photo, the reflection, and an audio/video sharing of the day’s devotional.
  • Downloadable PDF – This is best viewed on a screen but can be printed as well. You can purchase it for $4.99 by using this link
  • Softcover Book – Available for $19.99 through blurb.com, this is a softcover version of the devotional. Unfortunately, unless you use express shipping, it will not arrive by November 27. However, if you purchase a print copy, I will send you a PDF copy for free as well. You can order the softcover using this link. You can use coupon code BOOKWORLD at the site for 10% off as well!

For a preview of the book, you can click here for a PDF of the introduction and the first three days or you can preview the full book here at blurb.com

If you are interested in purchasing this for your congregation, please contact me and I can get you information about providing you with a ready-to-print version for congregational use.

I hope that this is as much a blessing to you as it was for me to craft it. I pray that the Spirit speaks deeply to you through these images and words.

Grace, Peace, Love, and Joy,

Ed
